Golf Tournament Committee Responsibilities Primary role is to raise funds for scholarships and other outreach activities through coordination of TBTA’s annual Golf Event.   Committed to consistently attend monthly TBTA meetings in order to update membership and  promote golf tournament. Organize/chair planning committee, including sponsorship solicitation, site selection, registration, etc. As golf tournament will benefit outside charities, act as liaison with charitable organization (to be determined) to ensure success from a Community Outreach perspective. Update and review committee progress with TBTA officers.   2009 Golf Tournament Kendra Gleason, Karen Hooper, and Dell Rosepink (co-chairs) presented a check in the amount of $35,000 to Kimberly Coleman of the Westside Houston Partnership. This year’s golf tournament raised a record amount: $41,000. This amount funded the charity contribution and added to TBTA scholarship funds. 2008 Golf Tournament Thanks to your support and contributions towards the success of this annual fundraising event - - we raised over $33,000!!!!!!  TBTA Members presented a check to the Westside Homeless Partnership (our beneficiary of the tournament) for $25,000!! The remaining funds will go towards the TBTA Scholarship fund.  2007 Golf Tournament Over $25,000 was raised by members of TBTA through its annual charity golf outing.  Betty’s Haven, a shelter for women who are victims of domestic violence, was the recipient of $18,000.  Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will be used to fund chapter continuing education scholarships.
